The inspiration

A familiar problem when the city is unfamiliar.

When travelling within your city or visiting somewhere new, the nearest masjid may be easy to find, but its exact jamaat time often is not. A few minutes can decide whether you join the prayer or arrive just after it.

Jamaat Finder connects a Masjid name and exact location with its displayed jamaat timetable, so the information you need is together in one place.

How to use the app

From Masjid board to a useful saved location.

Five straightforward steps. The screenshots below come from the working Android app.

  1. 01

    Allow your location

    Open Jamaat Finder and allow location access. The home screen shows daily prayer windows for your current area.

  2. 02

    Find a nearby jamaat

    Tap Find. Choose a pin or Masjid name to see its jamaat times, last check and exact map position.

  3. 03

    Add a masjid timetable

    While at the Masjid, tap the centre Sadqa button. Enter the Masjid name and take a clear, straight photo of its prayer board.

  4. 04

    Select only the prayer rows

    Move the four green corners around the LED timetable. Keep Fajr through Isha, plus Jummah when shown, inside the selection.

  5. 05

    Review, pin and save

    Check every extracted time against the board. Confirm the Masjid location using your current position, search, or a map pin, then save it.

A useful habit

Photograph clearly. Confirm carefully.

The app helps read Arabic prayer labels and LED digits, but Masjid boards can be angled, reflective or partly unlit. Always compare the extracted entries with the original photo before saving.
